Yes! After booking, you’ll receive a detailed email outlining what to expect and a few questions about your child or children. This helps me understand each child’s personality, interests, and comfort level, so I can create a session that feels relaxed, fun, and tailored to them.
Simple and comfortable is best. Solid, muted colors or subtle patterns photograph beautifully, while avoiding logos or very busy prints helps keep the focus on your child. If you’re unsure, feel free to bring along a second outfit option. Further details will be provided based on the backdrop color you choose.
That’s completely normal — and expected! I don’t expect children to sit perfectly still or smile on cue. Instead, I take my time, get to know them, and follow their lead. Sometimes the most meaningful images come from the quiet, thoughtful moments or the giggles that happen in between.
For these sessions, the focus is entirely on your child. This helps keep the experience calm, consistent, and true to the session’s purpose. If you’re hoping for family portraits, I can happily recommend photographers who specialize in that — but for children’s sessions, the spotlight stays on them.
Siblings are always welcome! You can include up to three children in a standard session. For larger groups, I recommend adding 20–30 extra minutes so each child gets their own time in front of the camera, and we can also capture sweet moments together. An additional fee applies for extended time — we can discuss the details when booking.
You can choose from white, for a clean and fresh look that highlights your child’s natural expressions; black, for a bold and striking effect that adds depth and drama; or soft grey, for a timeless and classic backdrop that keeps the focus on your child beautifully.
Your private online gallery will be ready approximately two weeks after your session. All high-resolution images are delivered in both colour and black and white.
From there, you’ll choose your 10 favourite images to download. Additional images can be purchased directly from your gallery if you’d like more.
You’ll also have the option to order professional-quality prints and products through the same gallery, created by a trusted photography lab for beautiful colour, detail, and finish.
